Everyone feels fear from time to time; anxiety is a normal emotion. However, it is not healthy to have excessive anxiety for too long, or to experience anxiety too intensely. This website is intended to help identify excessive anxiety in children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 18.

We offer the Youth Anxiety Measure for DSM-5 (YAM-5) questionnaire for free on this site so that parents, clinicians and researchers can use it. The questionnaire is available in 12 different languages.

We encourage the use, sharing, and distribution of the questionnaire. In addition, you can find a call to collaborate with scientists on this site.

Let’s work together to understand and address excessive anxiety in young people.
