Knowledge Center for Anxiety and Stress in Youth

The Knowledge Center for Anxiety and Stress in Youth is part of Leiden University. Their mission is to recognize and remedy anxiety and stress complaints in children and young people as early as possible, by connecting research, practice, care and education. They work towards this goal through the following activities:

  • Sharing knowledge through their website, social media, newsletters and presence at events
  • Providing presentations, workshops and training for education and youth care professionals
  • A telephone helpline that is available every working day between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM for questions and advice: 0031-71-5275464
  • Developing and/or improving (preventive) interventions for children and young people with anxiety and stress
  • Collaborating with education and youth care to identify needs to improve early identification and guidance to help

There are currently three training courses and interventions for children and young people with anxiety and stress complaints: KibA, ISA and Learn to dare! The Knowledge Center is not a treatment institution. All training and programs they develop are carried out by their healthcare partners
